Quick Update on Mr. Welsh's classes
World History- We have finished up our unit on Greece and are now studying Ancient Rome. Students recently completed a Slides Presentation on Greek mythology before reviewing for and taking their midterm exams. While studying Greece, they also learned about the differences between the two major city states, Athens and Sparta, and studied the Persian Wars. Pre-Voc- Students continue to rotate through daily jobs which include shredding, laundry, dishes, washing windows, and tasks related to the general upkeep of the room. Recent classwork has included identifying safe and unsafe scenarios, filling out personal information forms, writing checks and calling businesses to request information. Social Skills- We have been studying substance abuse and the effects it has on relationships.
