Mr. Welsh's Classroom Updates
World History- Students recently completed a unit on Ancient China. Activities included classroom discussions, watching and analyzing videos, reading comprehensions and a culminating project that involved making a Slides Presentation using their Google accounts. Students learned about Confucius's philosophy, the Great Wall of China, a general overview of the various ruling dynasties, and conducted their own research for the culminating presentation. Pre-Voc- Students continue to start off the period by rotating through various jobs such as doing laundry, washing dishes, cleaning windows, sweeping the floor, shredding and cleaning the bathroom. A life skill is also targeted each period. Recently worked on life skills include using grocery flyers, reading social signals, budgeting, and reading a menu.
